Memorial Day @ Summerseat Farm
When: Saturday, May 27th 12 PM - 4 PM
Location: 26655 Three Notch Road Mechanicsville, MD 20659
About: Help honor those who have lost their lives in service to our country this Memorial Day weekend at Summerseat Farm. Explore an antique tractor display, interact with farm animals, play lawn games, and take time on the peaceful grounds of the farm to reflect on the sacrifice the fallen men and women of the U.S. armed forces have made for us.
Chesapeake Beach Stars and Stripes Festival
When: Saturday, May 27th
Location: Veteran’s Memorial Park
About: Chesapeake Beach Stars and Stripes Festival incorporates a traditional Memorial Day ceremony, family entertainment, music, and picnics. The Festival starts on Saturday morning at the Veterans' Memorial Park. There is an essay and poetry contest as well as a house and business decorating contest. Local churches and museums exhibit war memorabilia, military equipment, and there is also movie screening at North Beach. The U.S. Naval Academy Brass Quintet and the U.S. Navy Band Country Current played live music during the festival.
Annapolis Memorial Day Parade
When: May 29th @ 10 AM
About: Annapolis holds one of the largest Memorial Day Parades in Maryland. It starts at Amos Garrett Boulevard and West St., then goes down West Street to Church Circle and down Main Street to City Dock. After the parade, there is the Memorial Day Ceremony at Susan Campbell Park.
